Upgraded Volkswagen Golf Hatchback Released for 2016

Volkswagen has upgraded its Golf Hatchback for the year 2016. From the technical specifications to the body design, everything has been changed. It has been four decades since the Volkswagen Golf Hatchback first appeared on the scene and has been one of the top selling cars of Volkswagen. One of the major modifications that the Volkswagen has made in this improved model is that they have replaced a five-cylinder engine with the new turbocharged engine.

The engine’s performance and potential

The car gets power from 1.8-litre four-cylinder that is capable of producing 170 horsepower with a torque of 199 lb-ft in the case of automatic transmission. In the manual transmission, the torque is restricted to 184 lb-ft. The base and S models without sunroof are available in five-speed manual transmission and six-speed automatic transmission is kept as an option. The S model with sunroof, SE and SEL are available only with automatic units. The car is able to hit the speed of 60 miles per hour in 7.8 seconds.

Luxurious and roomy interior

The interior of the car has been designed very well.  The plastic that has been used is soft to touch. All buttons have been put near the driver seat in order to create ease. A 5-inch touch screen is displayed in the center in the base model. The S model and higher trim levels get a 6.5-inch screen that is way easier to use. USB connection, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link is available in the car. Luxurious and roomy internal space creates the level of easiness even during long journeys. A wider leg and shoulder room give the feel of a large hatchback. It’s a family hatchback. 22.8 cubic feet cargo space is available behind the rear seats and folding of rear seats produces a 52.7 cubic feet cargo space.
